Transportation planning and decision-making is not so much a clear choice as it is a balancing act between diverse community needs, values, and priorities. Because the best technical solution is not always the best community solution, Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) must engage the public and integrate their input into all policies, plans, and products.

2025 Shasta Public Participation and Title VI Plan
The 2025 Shasta Public Participation and Title VI Plan was approved and adopted by the SRTA Board of Directors on December 18, 2025.
The Shasta Public Participation and Title VI Plan outlines the Shasta Regional Transportation Agency’s policies and procedures for engaging the public, tribal governments, and partner agencies in the regional transportation planning and decision-making process. The plan ensures transparency, inclusion, and compliance with applicable federal and state public involvement and nondiscrimination requirements.
The 2025 update includes administrative revisions to improve clarity, refresh demographic and Limited English Proficiency data, modernize outreach practices, and update examples of recent public engagement activities.
