Request for Proposals – SSNP Transit Technology Implementation Plan

Notice of a Request for Proposals Shasta Senior Nutrition Program seeks proposals from qualified consultants to identify technological applications that will improve and enhance transit services to the region. SSNP’s sub-recipient budget totals $59,500 of which a maximum of $30,000 will be available for the consultant contract with a term not to exceed six months. The request for proposals (RFP) will be released September 22, 2016. Proposals must be submitted electronically via email, by mail, or by in-person delivery by 4:00 PM on October 18, 2016 to Shasta Senior Nutrition Program. See the attached RFP for more details on how to submit your proposal. The RFP will be released and posted on SRTA’s website. There will not be a pre-proposal conference. Project Overview In 2014, Shasta Regional Transportation Agency and the Redding Area Bus Authority prepared a transit technology plan to address current and future transit technology needs for RABA. Some of the same technologies explored have applicability to SSNP’s services. SSNP is acquiring a consultant to evaluate the work already done for the SRTA/RABA Transit Technology Plan and prepare an implementation plan for SSNP. The study will consider new technologies, if applicable, and whether coordination with RABA is possible.
