FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION SECTION 5311 – FORMULA GRANTS FOR RURAL AREA GRANT OPPORTUNITY

The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) will consider Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5311 grants to enhance public transportation in rural areas (map available at link below). Approximately $400,000 is anticipated to be available to the region, and the funding is paid out on a reimbursement basis to successful applicants. Local public agencies, tribal governments, and private nonprofit organizations that provide public transit are eligible to apply for the following types of projects:
