Prior to each four-year Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and Sustainable Communities Strategies (SCS) update, SRTA prepares and distributes a Ways & Means report. The 2025 edition is now available.
What the report covers
The Ways & Means report summarizes the transportation revenues reasonably expected to be available to the region over the life of the plan. It reviews local, state, and federal funding sources, recent trends, and the assumptions used to forecast future revenue.
Why it matters
Because the RTP must be financially constrained, the revenue picture in this report shapes which projects and programs the region can realistically commit to. Reviewing it is a useful starting point for understanding the funding decisions behind the upcoming RTP/SCS update.
