The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) is seeking proposals (35 pages or fewer) from qualified consultants to manage the procurement of a fuel cell electric motorcoach prototype to fit the specifications needed for the Salmon Runner intercity bus service between Redding and Sacramento. This will include oversight of the design, engineering, development, delivery, testing, and acceptance of the vehicles and all necessary coordination with bus manufacturers. Support is also needed to identify sources of recent research and development funding that has been made available as well as additional capital funds to support the service. Finally, the consultant will assist SRTA in sourcing hydrogen fuel and devising logistical plans and contracts to secure fuel to operate Salmon Runner service.
