SRTA seeks proposals from qualified consultants to prepare the ResilientShasta Extreme Climate Event Mobility and Adaption Plan.
The ResilientShasta plan is funded primarily by a Caltrans Adaptation Planning grant , from Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017. Climate change adaptation aims to anticipate and prepare for climate change impacts to reduce the damage from climate change and extreme weather events. This funding is intended to advance adaptation planning on transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to roads, railways, bikeways, trails, bridges, ports, and airports. Adaptation efforts will enhance the resiliency of the transportation system to help protect against climate impacts, with an emphasis on the communities most vulnerable to climate change impacts.
